IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have an astrology appointment with me on August 24 or 25, and have not yet done so, please re-send me your birth information by email. My recent computer meltdown took with it my chart database and email archives. Thank you!

THE FULL MOON on Wednesday (8:28pm PDT) is our primary astrological event this week. At the time of the lunation, Uranus is sextile the Moon and trine the Sun, providing the inspiration, insights and courage we are needing to make best use of this creative energy.

Uranus also promotes our listening to the voice of our own higher knowing, rather than following the dictates or advice that may be offered by others, even if that advice is well-meaning. Under this influence, we may feel a bit impatient with old ways and old solutions -- which assists us in being open to the new.

THE SABIAN SYMBOL for the location of the Full Moon reinforces the potentials of this lunation and tells us how to take advantage of them:
During a silent hour, we receive a new inspiration that may change our lives: The need to rely upon inner inspiration and guidance at the start of new developments.
This is a powerful reminder of the importance of listening within. The interpretation of this symbol (in Dane Rudhyar's book, An Astrological Mandala) provides more guidelines:
"What is implied here is the essential value of keeping open to the descent of spiritual or Soul forces, especially when a new period of individual activity is about to begin. The individual should not depend mainly on outer circumstances or on traditional or external incentives. There is a creative power within, a power that can be tapped -- or rather, that should be allowed to flow into the brain-consciousness or the hands that write or fashion materials into original forms."
WITH ALL the deep-level changes we have been going through, and the challenges occurring in many people's lives, this energy is a welcome breath of fresh air. Synchronistically, we should also be receiving a new wave of solar wind during the day before the Full Moon, due to a recent upswing in solar flares.

It is very important to be openminded with these energetic waves, and be willing to let go of preconceived ideas. The potential for growth and expanded awareness is multiplied when we make the conscious decision to be available to it.

PLUTO and Chiron both form quincunx aspects to the Sun early in the week, which may show us where we need an attitude adjustment, especially if we have become overly focused on taking credit for this or that. The need to elicit approval or commendation (Sun in Leo) can cause power struggles between those who see themselves as being in positions of authority (Pluto in Capricorn).

There is also a tendency to take things personally in the days before the Full Moon, with Chiron in Pisces exposing where we still tend to play the victim card. Again, the main requirement is an adjustment in perspective, which allows us to move into compassion and forgiveness, healing the wound that has been revealed.

ASPECTS at the end of the week appear to emphasize the effects of Mercury retrograde, as Neptune interacts with both Mercury and Mars. Under this influence, it's best to let go of the need to control outcomes, since trying to hold tight to the reins may only result in frustration.

Instead, use the energies at week's end to "go with the flow" as much as possible, and allow there to be uncertainty. The gift in the allowing is a greater openness to the guidance of the quiet voice within.

Blessings,

Pam
