Sweet God,
Of all of your creatures I am one
From the species of those most lost.
Wash from me the bloodstains of history.
Lead me to learn
The smiles of trees
The thoughts of mountains
The tears of stones
The songs of rain and of rivers
The dances of the ocean.
Instead of war,
Teach me the emotions of the thunderstorm.
Instead of greed,
Instruct me in the industries
Of butterflies and bees.
